How Negligence Slowly Costs a Marriage 💔

Not every marriage breaks because of betrayal, arguments or a lack of love. Sometimes, it breaks because two people slowly stop paying attention to each other.

It begins with little things.
One partner stops asking how the other's day went. Conversations become shorter. Appreciation disappears. Efforts go unnoticed. Emotional needs are repeatedly ignored, and small disappointments are brushed aside.

Initially, the neglected partner tries to communicate. They explain what hurts, ask for attention and hope things will change.

But what happens when those conversations keep repeating without any meaningful change?
Eventually, they stop explaining. They stop complaining. They stop expecting.
And here's the dangerous part: silence can sometimes be mistaken for happiness.

The relationship may still look perfectly normal from the outside. Two people share a home, responsibilities, meals and routines. But emotionally, one of them may have already started withdrawing.
Negligence doesn't necessarily mean someone has stopped loving their partner. Sometimes, they simply become so comfortable with the relationship that they stop nurturing it.

But love cannot survive on memories of how things used to be. It needs attention, effort, appreciation and emotional presence.
A marriage doesn't always end when someone walks away. Sometimes, it begins to end when someone stops feeling important enough to be noticed... !!
